 Leesburg Elementary School implements a school-wide management system for behavior entitled
"Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support" (PBIS).

Full Day Kindergarten Lottery

On Wednesday, May 18, Leesburg Elementary School will hold a lottery for approximately 18 Full-Day Kindergarten seats. These seats are only available to students who actually reside in the Leesburg Elementary School attendance zone.  The lottery will be held at 3:15 pm in the school’s media center.

In order to enter your child’s name in the lottery, parents must submit a Lottery Request Form for FDK Attendance-Zone Lottery to the school office by

3:00 p.m on Friday, May 13. 


Questions about the attendance-zone lottery may be directed to the school at (571) 252- 2860 or to the Office of Elementary Education at (571) 252-1290.

 Loudoun County Public Schools require a Volunteer/Mentor Application be on file for everyone who is a volunteer in our schools. No exceptions. The form must be reviewed by an administrator who is also required to check it against the Virginia State Police Sex Offenders list prior to helping in our school. An administrator will contact you if there is a problem.

  • Instructional Hours:
    8:15 to 3:00 - Grades K-5
    Kindergarten (half day):
    8:15 to 11:15 - AM K
    12:00 to 3:00 - PM K
    Beginning of the Day:
    7:55 - Car riders and walkers 
    8:00 - Buses arrive
    8:15 - Instructional day begins
    Student arriving after 8:15 a.m. will be considered tardy and must check into the office with a parent.
    End of the Day:
    2:55 - Warning bell rings 
    3:00 - Dismissal for car riders and walkers 
    3:05 - Buses and daycare providers will leave at approximately this time
