Dear Parents or Guardians,
As one of the fourth grade teachers, I would like to welcome you to the Lovettsville Elementary Fourth Grade. I have been teaching at Lovettsville for 12 years now. My opinion of Lovettsville is that it is a fantastic school for your child to attend.
The fourth grade here is a special one. We do many exciting activities and have fun while we learn. Many of the lessons are cooperative learning activities. This allows the students to interact with their peers as well as reinforce the lessons. The learning process is ongoing. It never stops. This philosophy is what makes learning fun. The students learn while playing games at recess, as well as their daily lessons.
One of the most important aspects of a child’s education is the reinforcement he/she gets at home. The daily lessons are reinforced by homework. This homework is meant to give your child practice at the concepts taught that day. Being kids, they sometimes forget how to do the homework by the time they get home. If your child asks you for help, please do your best to help him/her. If you can’t help, I will review and help your child individually the next day.
I do my best to make the classroom a fun and safe place. Your child should feel comfortable and eager to learn. If there is ever a time that I should be informed about an incident that happened at school, please feel free to contact me. I will do everything to make your child as comfortable and eager to learn as possible.
I look forward to working with you and your child. We have a fun and exciting year planned. If you have any questions or comments, please contact me at Lovettsville.
