           Summer reading

Welcome to Mrs. Buckman's Class

Happy Summer !  I will be enjoying my summer by taking a  Disney cruise to Alaska with my family.   I look forward to hearing what you will be doing.  If you are a former student or an upcoming first grader, I would love to hear about your plans.  I will check e-mail and respond. :-)
Please remember to practice math facts and read daily.   I look forward to my summer reading.  Reading can take you on adventures in your mind !  Remember to read every day with your child.  Ask your child to tell you about the story.  If you are drving or flying on vacation, play road side bingo or ABC bingo by finding words on signs on the road or airport. For ABC sign bingo, start with A and find a word with an "A" in it and say the word and then move on to the next letter. The most important things to do this summer is  read and to get outside and  play . Have a safe and fun summer. I can't wait to hear about your adventures!

Below is information from this past year. If you are an upcoimng first grader or parent, please check out our routine.
