Hatrick III was installed as the president of the American Association of School Administrators (AASA) on Thursday, July 29th, at the Hyatt Regency in Washington, D.C.  Sterling Students Skyrocket in Science Skills During STEM CampFrom Monday, July 12th through Friday, July 16th, 63 students from five Park View High School feeder elementary schools gathered daily at Sterling Middle School to participate in the science, technology, engineering and math STEM Camp. The rising fourth- and fifth-graders were able to attend the free, week-long immersion in all things science, math and engineering because of a grant from the Howard Hughes Foundation. Full Story |
 “Stuff a Backpack” School Supply Drive during the 2010 Redskins Training CampThe Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation in partnership with World Vision – National Capital Area will launch a “Stuff a Backpack” School Supply Drive from Thursday, July 29th, through Saturday, August 7th. Jennifer Zecher, a social sciences teacher at Park View High School, has been named a 2010 Anne and Ryland Brown Teacher Research Fellow by the Library of Virginia.
