Dr. Jonathan Mason
Dr. Mason has been a physics teacher at Freedom High School since 2009. He grew up in Atlanta and attended Georgia Tech (B.S. Physics, 1994; M.S. Physics 1995; Ph.D. Physics, 2001). After graduation, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Boston University (Biomedical Engineering) and George Mason University and Penn State University (Neuroscience). Before teaching at FHS, he most recently spent a year teaching physics and conducting neuroscience research at the University of Waikato in Hamilton, New Zealand.
Dr. Mason teaches Conceptual, Academic and AP Physics and is the faculty advisor for the Ultimate Frisbee Club, ASPCA club, Astronomy club, the Classic Rock Appreciation Club and the Freedom High School Cricket Team.
