Dr. Mason is a physics teacher in his fourth year with LCPS. He grew up in Atlanta and attended Georgia Tech (B.S. Physics, 1994; M.S. Physics 1995; Ph.D. Physics, 2001). After graduation, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Boston University (Biomedical Engineering) and George Mason University and Penn State University (Neuroscience). He most recently spent a year teaching physics and conducting neuroscience research at the University of Waikato in Hamilton, New Zealand, before moving back to northern Virginia to begin teaching at Freedom High School.

 

Dr. Mason teaches Academic and AP Physics and is the faculty advisor for the Classic Rock Appreciation Club.
