Welcome to my 3^rdgrade class – go Comets!! My name is Jennifer Donovan and this will be my 6^thyear teaching Elementary Education.  I taught both 1^st& 3^rdgrades at Sugarland Elementary for the last 5 years. 

I grew up outside of Boston,Massachusetts (great sports teams: Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins & Celtics!) and graduated from Westfield State College with a BS in Accounting/Finance.  As you can probably see from my undergraduate degree, teaching was not my first career.  I completed the career switcher program through Shenandoah University in 2007. 

 I have taught many things through out my career.  I was a fitness instructor for 20 years teaching both children and adult classes.  I was a preschool teacher for 5 years and loved watching my class children grow.  I have also been a Camp Director for a summer camp program with an enrollment of 200 children.  I love being around children and have lots of patience for them. I get so much joy from watching them grow and learn! 

I am still a very active fitness enthusiast. My husband and I have been living in Sterling,Virginia for 20 years now.  We have three children, a very energetic dog, a spunky kitten and a very social guinea pig. We spend a lot of time together. We love walking, running, camping, rock climbing, kayaking, hiking (anything outsideJ) and just hanging out.
